I have Windows Vista 32bit. I have a wireless internet conection from my
desktop usung a usb adapter. It connects fine @ first but then if I log off
and come back later I can't log on but according to my adapter and icon in
lower right my signal strength is excellent and I am connected. If I restart
the computer I am able to get on. I reset internet explorer but it still does
it.

Thanks.

the desktop is windows XP or what? you are using Internet Connection
Sharring do share the connection from the desktop to the remote computer?

If so I suggest you give it a static IP in the form of 192.168.1.x where x
is something greater than 1
and mas 255.255.255.0 gateway and dns servers = 192.168.1.1

all this you but on the wireless connections TCPIP settings the v6 though..
the old TCPIP

Get a Mac.

Why you people STILL put up with Windows is absurd!

Life is too short to waste anymore time with Windows.

Because windows users know computers, and don't have to take their machines
to a "genius bar" where some poser geek can mumble a few magic words (for a
hefty price) over their overpriced but "cool looking" POS.
