What is the virus/malware status of the computer? Be sure it is clean:

Warren,

We'd be glad to help you, but you'll need to provide us somewhere to start.
# How is your network setup?
# What was changed, immediately before it stopped working?
# What exactly is the computer doing when it "freezes up" on you?
# Any error messages or other diagnostics? Event Viewer?

Do some reading please, and report back.
