Help please!!

There is definetly something wrong with my computer. All of these ads pop
up, it changes my homepage to searchexe.com or something like that, my
computer runs slow, and puts adult sites in my favorites folders and I'm
running 39-42 processes for some reason. I've run norton and it says no
virus found. Ad-aware gets rid of 20-30 "objects" found and it seems like
they are always there when I run it. I want to set up a firewall, but it has
deactivated my icons for windows help and support. This started like 3 weeks
ago. PLEASE HELP!! Thanks

Turn on the XP firewall . Haven't heard of it "deactivating icons" . Run the
free Housecall scan from the web. One scan might catch what the other
doesn't . Update and rerun Adaware. Windows Messenger and no firewall will
guarantee add pop ups. Jym

Windows Messenger has nothing, but nothing to do with popups.. the Windows
Messenger Service has everything to do with popups.. having no firewall
running is 'cyber suicide'..
