I was getting ready to defrag my system and I inadvertently ended a process
using windows task manager.
Now when I put a CD in my E drive it runs OK but when I remove the disk I
get a message box. The heading on the message says:

CorelIOMonitor.exe

and the message is:

There is no disk in the drive, please insert a disk into drive E:
then there are buttons to cancel, try again and continue.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
Sandy

ending that process should
be of no big deal as it would have
been restarted when the
computer was rebooted.

if you click on start>run>msconfig
a system configuration window
will pop up. in the last tab there
will be startups that load with windows.

one of the lines will be notated
with that process you accidentally
ended.

i'm not sure which corel program
you installed, but it is obviously
not configured correctly.

if you google
CorelIOMonitor.exe
you will find that others
have been just as annoyed
with it.

you might want to uninstall
it or its parent software and see
if the problem is resolved.

try searching your harddrive
to find its parent folder and the
clue of the software using
that process.

Did you do a REstart? You don't mention doing so.

Not only did I do a restart but when that didn't work I did a system restore
to the day before I had the mishap.
Thanks again Poprivet.
