Help please Win2k wont boot, keeps rebooting itself

Greets,

I'm working on a machine that needed the motherboard replaced. After
replacing and connecting everything, upon boot i get the message
requesting me to choose a boot method - Normal - Last Configuration -
Safe Mode & Safe Mode with network support. Choosing either Normal or
Last Config gets me a blue screen then it reboots. I can't tell you
what the blue screen says because its gone too quickly. If I choose
safe mode it displays the list of files its loading (i think) then
just reboots itself. Both ways upon rebooting leaves me at the same
boot choice screen, however sometimes I get the hit DEL to enter
setup, but if i do that it just starts the bootprocess and dumps me at
the same choice menu. I'm totally deaf, dumb and blind with 2000 or any
flavor of NT so any help would be appreciated. Also wondering if I do
an overinstall would this corrupt any sensitve or encrypted files on
the HD?

ThankYou,
Kleptic

Did you change to a different motherboard?
I sure hope you backed up the encryption keys.
Boot from W2K CD and choose to repair your installation. Plug and Play can't
modify your hardware abstration layer and consider the F6 on setup should
you have mass storage controllers whose drivers you need to install.

couldn't do it if I wanted to,original board was fried. Hopefully the
owner has a set if he in fact has anything encrypted. I was just
wondering in case that is the case.)

Like I said earlier I'm deaf,dumb & blind with 2000. Which repair
should I choose? Console or Emergency? and if its Console which
command do I want? Fixboot?
