Uncle Vinnie

Hi.. Using Outlook 2000.

I have a few contact that have titles (example- Mr., Mrs., Fr., etc)

Is there a way to have the title show in their name, when one is
specified??? Thank you!

Vinnie,

You did not indicate for what purpose e.g. viewing the contact or doing a
mail merge.

If you would like to see the titles when viewing contacts then check to see
if it is specified in the actual contact by doing the following. Open
contact and click on Full Name - there is an option there to add the title.
Once this is done you will be able to see it in the contact view providing
you have the field Full Name showing.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards

Thank you... I will check that out, but more importantly, I want the title
to appear when sending email....

Appear where?

In the "to" box...

Example, Mr. Brian Tillman as opposed to Brian Tillman...

Edit the Contact record for the person and put "Mr. First Last" in the
"Display As" field.

I just remembered that Outlook 2000 doesn't have a "Display As" field.
INstead, open the contact record for that person, double click the E-mail
address and enter what you'd like to see int he "Display Name" field.

Thanks Brian.. that was it! I was unable to figure out how to get to the
'display as' dialog within the contacts information, so I started up an
email to the individual, then double clicked, and there it was!

Thank you again!
