Could someone help me please to understand how to create an XP boot disk ?
I believe XP cannot boot directly form floppies - but whenever I try to
reboot my system I it
will not read the XP disk ?

What can I do ? I have my hard drive partitioned so hopefully most of my
data will be preserved on the 'G drive,
I expect to lose the data from the 'C'
But I cannot gain access to the system -
Incidentally, I have XP Home edition OEM with SP2.

How do I go about restoring my system ?

Many thanks for any advise given.

Next time you boot, watch the screen like a hawk and as soon as you
see a message about setting up BIOS (or similar) press the
indicated key. This may be F2, Del, or something else.

Work through the configuration screens that come up and find "Boot
order". Put "CD-ROM" ahead of "hard disk". Save changes, insert the
XP CD-ROM, and exit the BIOS configration utility. You will now
boot from the CD-ROM.

Thanks Stan,

I will give it a go.
