Help: Pasting between Excel workbook instances 2007

Hoping that someone can remember how to fix this.

In previous versions of Excel, I found that I couldn't past between
workbooks. I think, but can't remember for sure, that the problem was
resolved by adding a command line switch to start up new instances of Excel
in such a way that data and formulas could be pasted between any open
instances.

Now that I've switched to Excel 2007 the problem is back! I took a look at
the command line switch options but couldn't find anything that looks like
it'll do the job. Anyone remember how to fix this? Thanks.

Are you saying you can't paste between workbooks in Excel 2007?

What does that mean? When you copy you will not get an option to paste?

I think you have it backwards.

In older versions of Excel you could not paste formulas between workbooks
opened in two separate instances of Excel.

The formulas would revert to values.
