help: Oversized PST and OST Crop Tool

i have an oversized ost. i need to cut some off then run
scanpst.exe to repair it once completed. ive actually run
scanpst.exe already to completion and says its fixed
errors. the size of the file remains as the issue.

ok so the title of the tool sounds like it will work with
pst and ost files. however when trying to select the ost,
once the pst2gb.exe is running, the only option for file
extension is pst. do i need to just manually rename the
extension to pst, and then back to ost once finished?

I have read the readme and the Q296088 document, with no
added clarity.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
