HELP - outlook 07 calendar appointment times/ day change

I

Ianv

If I desire to make an appointment in outlook 07 calendar for say 1:00pm -
1:30pm Sat 6th, i experience 2 problems. 1).After selecting saturday then
select "new" calender opens on Friday not Sat as selected, when I untick the
"all day event" the time shown is 9:00pm Fri . If I change the day (which I
shouldn't have to coz I selected Sat at the start)to Sat and time for 1:00pm
- 1:30pm then save, I then encounter problem 2). the appointment time shows
as 11:00pm - 11:30pm Sat when the appointment is opened, well after my
selected time. HELP thank you.

The frist thing to check is that Outlook's Calendar and Windows agree
completely on timezone/DST.

thanks Brian, I have followed the above and there are 2 files, my archive
file, showing its
location and the other my mailbox file, the "Filename" shows "Not
available"

A mailbox won't have a file name. Is the mailbox selected as the delivery
location?

the mailbox has "default" in the comments

Well, I can't duplicate this at all. What happens if you preselect the time
on a view with a time scale (day or week), then click New? In
Tools>Options>Calendar Options, what's selected at the Start time?

Start day is Monday, start time is 7am. finish time is 5pm, start year week
Jan1.

If I preselect Thurs 4th at 11:00am then click New it shows Thurs 4th at
1am. If i then change the time to 11am and save the appointment is made for
9:00pm Thurs 4th

I know you said you checked, but, alas, I can't think of anything but a time
zone problem, either in Windows or in Outlook's calendar.

If you start Outlook in safe mode does it still behave that way? Have you
checked the time zone on the server?

I guess I'm out of ideas. Sorry.

Confirmed the calender time zone and the regional settings time zones are
the same. talked with the IT they assure me the server time zone is internet
governed for this time zone. Is there any other clock in the background that
might influence the calender that is causing this? It seems as tough if there
is its set for GMT. ie 10 hrs difference. P l e a s e dont give up.
