HELP NO New Page

I am unable to open 2 browser pages at once, ctrl + n doesnt work, neither does file - new page. these options simply refresh the current page, I'm so utterly frustrated, Any ideas?
 
Hi Andrew,

If you have Yahoo Companion instalkled, a first thing to try might be to
uninstall it. It is known to cause this kind of behavior.
