I have an older computer running Win 98 that I am trying to network with one
running XP home. I connect to the internet using a USR router, and am able
to get both computers on the internet that way, but cannot share files across
them.
The problem I am having with this is with the XP networking wizard. I use
the XP CD in the Win 98 computer like I have been told. The wizard runs, and
then restarts my computer. Upon restart, I am prompted to connect both
computers to the internet. That would be fine, except that i am prompted to
do so before Windows has finished booting, and the only way to connect to the
internet is to shut down the Wizard first. I am so close to getting this
done, I hope that someone has a workaround for me to finish.
Thanks in advance.
