I'm working in a classroom, and one of the teachers would like me to
set up a WinXP computer (it will be part of the workgroup set up in
the classroom) so that:

- It has 4 users (corresponding to the teachers)
- Students may only send (not delete, edit, or overwrite) their work
to any of those 4 users over the network
- A teacher may only view files sent to them (not the others)

I'm thinking of something like using password protected folders or
something like it for this purpose... if anyone has any specific
ideas, pass them along.

.

Go to My documents and right click the folder or files
that you don't want people to see. Mark it as private.
Make sure you are logged in as admin. Hope this works
just a newbie. Let me know if this works.

OK, I see only one reply. So here are examples of how exactly I expect
the system to work. Suppose that A and B are teachers, and E and F are
students.

* E and F may send files to A's and/or B's folders over the workgroup.
* E may not delete or overwrite E's and/or F's files and vica versa.
* A has full access rights to files sent to him/her over the workgroup
(which is the whole idea of the setup).
* A has no accents rights to files sent to B.

Let's see if this helps you...
