Help, Need to view a security feed through a gateway and firewall

Hello.
I could use some help on this issue.
We use a piece of software to view feeds from our
security systems at remote locations via a web interface. Three video
servers are on a different IP address range from our local network.
The fourth in in the same IP address range as the local network. I do
not need to specify a gateway on the PC to connect to that server.
I can connect to two of the three locations with a different ip range
by using the 'route add' command on to add the route to the respective
security video servers on the PC with the vewing software. In both
cases the gateway to the server is in the same IP range as the PC.

However I cannot connect to the third video server even though I have
the IP address of the gateway.
The PC and the router which is being used as the gateway to that
server , while physically on the same network, are not in the same IP
address range.
The IP address of the PC is 10.2.a.x , the IP address of the gateway
is 192.168.x.x. I am trying to add a route to a video server with IP
address 10.2.b.x.

I was able to add a a route to that server through that gateway using
the 'route add' command after first adding a second ip address to the
PC's nic, using the 'Advanced' settings in the TCP-IP settings for the
nic.
I still cannot connect to that server, nor can I even ping the gateway
to that server. Even though 'route print' shos the route to that
server added to that server added as a persistent route.

I would appreciate some advice as to how to proceed.

Thanks.

Here's what you need vs what you have.

You Need You Have?
ON YOUR COMPUTER:
1) IP address on the same subnet as router interface YES
to the server's subnet

2) Route to other subnet YES

ON THE SERVER:
3) IP Address on same subnet as the router interface ?
that route's to your subnet

4) Route to your subnet OR default gateway set to ?
the router that routes to your subnet

diagnostic is tracert from both ends.
