For some background reading on my issue, please see the following link to a
Neowin.com forum post:

Overview:
I have a laptop and desktop computer connected by a crossover cable. I can
access shared folders on my laptop from the desktop. I CANNOT access shared
folders on my desktop from my laptop. When I go to "My Network Places" I
click on "Show Workgroup Computers" and Desktop and Laptop appear. When I
click on Laptop while using the desktop, I can see the shared folders and
printers. But when I go to my laptop and try to open the Desktop computer,
I get an error saying that I do not have permission to access that network
resource.

Notes:
Both systems are WinXP Pro w/SP2.
Simple file sharing disabled on both.
No 3rd party firewalls, only NAV2005.

If you know what I can do to gain access to the drives/folders on my desktop
from my laptop, please help me out. Thanks!
