help ! My invoices saved in word always has the current date !!!

I have a small home business and do invoices using word. I
print a copy and save it on the hard drive if there are
any questions. My problem is when I verify or look at a
past invoice, the date that it was created is gone, and I
have the current date listed. Can anyone help ?

Valmet62,

Right click the date and toggle field codes. Change { DATE } to {
CREATEDATE} without altering the field code brackets. Right click again and
select update field.

Instead of using "Insert", "Date and time", use "Insert", "Field", click the
"Date and time" category and choose the "CreateDate" option.
