How can I avoid some IE windows to be "overtaken" by other programs?

I typically listens to radio on the web and some audio plug-in is
running in an IE window. It oftens happens that I click a web link in
another program such as MS Outlook, and the d-m program uses my radio
window! I don't understand how this works, please tell me. When are IE
windows reused and can I stop this from happeing in selected windows?

Sorry to bother you again, but I found the solution myself, see below.

How can I avoid some IE windows to be "overtaken" by other programs?

By doing this:

Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools | Internet Options... | and click Advanced tab
Place or Remove the checkmark next to [Reuse Windows for Launching
Shortcuts]
Click [Apply] [OK]

bah your being dramatic but yes I know it can be
annoying, I don't know of any way to make it not effect
one single window although I do know IE usually uses the
active window or last IE window opened (can't remember
what one)
anyway the solution to make IE not steal your windows is
in IE goto the tools (menu) - internet options - Advanced
(tab) - Browsing (heading) and untick the forth checkbox
from the bottom of that group (above underline links) the
option is "Reuse windows for using shortcuts" you want
that unticked
