Help! My computer has locked me out!

My computer will not recognize me logging on. It says my password is
incorrect. How can this be? This happened after I had changed to the classic
view of logging on. When I rebooted, it say I had to hit ctrl-alt-del and
when I do, the sign in is there, but it doesn't accept my passwork. It will
not go any further than that. I try to boot up in safe mode, but still I
have to get pass the password. Can anyone help?

Is this a Laptop? Sometimes the Numlock gets turned on. This can drive you
crazy if it gets turned on. Try typing your password in your user field to
see if it is typing correctly. Check to see if that is the case. Otherwise
try what Thorsten has suggested.
