help! movie maker 2

I am a novice at movie maker 2, CAN ANYONE HELP?
Whenever I try to edit(add title, visual effects etc),
the program closes me out entirely. Is it a glitch with
my program or how my computer is set up. I have a Sony
VAIO and don't like the Vaio movie player set up as much.
