Help - Mouse & Keyboard Not Working

G

I have a Dell Dimension 5000 and Logitech cordless mouse &
keyboard everything was working fine untill i moved the computer from
one room to another. Since moving the computer to another room and
plugging it back in, the keyboard and mouse do not work.

The machine switches on then ask for you to choose which user to log
in (i have 2 users set up on windows xp) but at this point i cant
choose anything as the keyboard and mouse do not work.

I have tried using a standard PS2 keyboard and mouse via a PS2 TO USB
adaptor (the dell only has USB input ports for the mouse and
keyboard) and i have also tried using other USB ports but nothing
seems to work.

Does anyone know what could be causing the problem?

Unplug and then plug in the USB cords.

Try pressing the reset button on the mouse, keyboard, and receiver
base.

Try replacing the batteries.

Good luck.
