HELP missing or corrupt system file

Hi
What you need is insert your windows xp disk, go into the
recovery console.

You then need to go into the c:\windows\system32\config
and folder and rename your system file to say system.old
(ren system system.old)

From the same folder type copy c:\windows\repair\system
the will copy the backup file and the machine should now
boot.
