HELP ME!!!!! ma dad's gonna kill me

i don't no whats happened but all my brothers, mums, and dads files have been
deleted i don't no why mine haven't or where they have gone! i need to try my
best to retrive them by 10 o'clock tonight so my dad doesn't relise! please
help me!

Firstly, try looking in the Recycle Bin and click on Restore for any file
you think you may have deleted in error. Are you sure they're deleted and
not that you just can't other areas of the computer? Post back details of
anything you did on the computer that you never did before.

rite ive chekd the recycle bin and its emptyand ive also searched the computer for individual files that belonged to my mum! iv'e also been on microsoft works and the names of work items are still there but when i try to open them up it says they've been deleted!

iv'e done nothing new! and as they dissapeared a warning came on the screen
saying transferring workfiles to workfiles! i think it could have started
from a virus called funny that my brither recieved some time ago but its
never done any major harm!

Do you each have your own logon accounts or does everyone just use the same one?

If you're sure about that "Transferring" message, it looks like they've been
copied to another directory. Run a search for directories called Workfiles-
see if you find two.

Also try and do a find for any of the data files. For example, if they are
works file, try searching for files or folders named *.wks.
