HELP ME HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

WHEN I INSTALLED MY WINDOWS XP IT WAS INSTALLED INCORECTLY SINCE I HAD TO SKIP FILES. NOW WHEN I TRY TO USE A WEB CAM MY XP WONT RECOGNIE IT AND I CAN NO LONGER USE MY PHOTOSHOP SOFTWARE EITHER. THE ERROR MSG THAT SHOWS UP SAYS: CANNOT START BECAUSE IM MISSING AVICAP32.DLL TO PLEASE RE INSTALL IT! HOW CAN I WHEN I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO. IM A NOVICE AND I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME THANK YOU.

1) Lose the caps it's considered yelling, is incredibly rude and makes
your posts very hard to read.

2) I suggest backing up, formatting and installing clean. There might be
other issues you're not aware of as yet.

When you get in over your head it's usually time to hire a professional to
straighten things out.

1. Part of your problem may be that your capslock key is stuck. Try
fixing that and it will at least improve your chances of getting a
response to your requests for help.

2. Boot your computer from the Windows XP CD and do a Repair Install
as per the instructions at
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

That should replace any missing files etc. without losing your
installed applications or your data files.

Note: Having to skip files during the install is usually a bad sign.
If it happens on the repair install as well then you have some serious
issues, including perhaps hardware that is not compatible with Windows
XP. Make note of the names of any and all files that you have to
skip, and the complete *verbatim* text of the error message that was
displayed when you had to skip the file. Also make sure the Windows
XP CD is clean and free of fingerprints. Wash it gently with warm
water and then dry it completely with a soft dry cloth. Handle the CD
only by the edges or the center hole. Do not touch the data surface.
