1. Part of your problem may be that your capslock key is stuck. Try
fixing that and it will at least improve your chances of getting a
response to your requests for help.
2. Boot your computer from the Windows XP CD and do a Repair Install
as per the instructions at
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm
That should replace any missing files etc. without losing your
installed applications or your data files.
Note: Having to skip files during the install is usually a bad sign.
If it happens on the repair install as well then you have some serious
issues, including perhaps hardware that is not compatible with Windows
XP. Make note of the names of any and all files that you have to
skip, and the complete *verbatim* text of the error message that was
displayed when you had to skip the file. Also make sure the Windows
XP CD is clean and free of fingerprints. Wash it gently with warm
water and then dry it completely with a soft dry cloth. Handle the CD
only by the edges or the center hole. Do not touch the data surface.
