Strangest occurrence. I have an external HDD and use it to transfer files
from a remote computer to my home. I saved a file to it and looked for it
last night and couldn't find it where I thought it was saved. I returned to
the romote computer today and found the file, saved it in a couple of
locations to be sure, and again it doesn't appear where I saved it and
doesn't appear using the *search* function. I have checked all of my folder
options and have checked "show hidden files" and all other known filters.
The remote computer is XP and the home computer is Vista 32. The file bleongs
to Pinnacle Studio 11 with a filename extension .STX.

How can I fid this file and get it to register on my home computer??

Thanks

To add to my confusion, I decided to use the DOS command dir *.stx in the
folder where it was saved and it didn't show. Tried dir/w and it shows other
..stx files but not the one saved.

Anyone know what might be going on other than I'm just crazy? I saved the
file very carefully and I'll bet it will show when I hook the HDD to the
remote computer on Monday. However, I had hoped to continue working on the
file over the weekend.

Thanks
