I am having problems with my computer and will have to
reformat my hard drive. I purchased Windows XP as an
upgrade but don't have the disc or ID number (my custom
Presario was loaded with Windows ME). Is there a way I can
contact Microsoft and they will allow me to download the
upgrade? will they have a record of my purchase? I'm sure
I registered it. TIA for any help on this. It was XP Pro :(

Thanks, Carey, I had found that link but you have to have
the product ID number to proceed with an online request.
My disk was in the sleeve with the number and both have
disappeared.
