Hi There

Hope someone can help please. I am running XP Home SP2 all was well until
about a week ago when some funny things started happening.I have Norton
Internet Security 2006.First off when I click on the icon in task bar to
remove a USB device it stopped flaging me that it was ok to remove device.
Then I lost system restore. It says do you want to turn it on. I reply yes
it then says system restore encountered an error trying to enable please
restart comp and try again. This does not work. I have never turned it off
as I find it very useful.

I have also lost from the start button run & search.

Has anybody got any ideas. Does not seem to have any virus's etc.

any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

using comps for about 5 years now and even built my own etc but have never
