I just changed my login password for administrator login
on my home computer, and promptly forgot it....thereby
locking myself out of all but the limited guest account
on my own computer. Does anyone know how i can get back
in? Thanks========

Hi Micaicah,

I'm sorry, but without the Admin password, or the password to an admin
enabled account, the only option left is to reinstall the operating system.

.I am in same boat. there isn't help except restore
windows. I think there is enough people to complain to
microsoft and tell them we need to have a resolved
solution to this problem. there are thousands of us who
are either mistaking the password for what it really is
and does. we are in the dark however when we installed
winxp about the effect if we lose or cannt rember
passwords. in my case an attack on my pc got me locked
out. why doesn't microsoft windows have a reset or some
kind of default or something we can type in logon box to
bypass it then we must place a new one after we get in to
where a wizard automactly kicks in at that point. I think
we should form a request email to them we would all use
the same user name as a group. maybe im silly but did you
get in yet?? hmm
