HELP!!! I'VE DELETED MY SWITCHBOARD FORM!!!

MrsB

I really GOOFED yesterday!

I was in design form working on a form, having a problem,
posting to this sight asking for help. THEN, I received
a message for Microsoft to upgrade my MS Messenger. So I
did. I think downloading this upgrade skewed the form I
was working on as well as my Switchboard, another linked
form and another linked report. After the update
downloaded, I had to reboot. I closed my applications
and rebooted.

Thereafter, when I opened my db, I got the error
message "!Module Not Found". I spent hours trying to
figure this out. I couldn't! So I deleted all affected
forms and the report.

How do I recreate my switchboard? When I go to
switchboard manager, all my previous info is there. I
have "switchboard" as an opening form on my Startup.
But, how do I get this switchboard info to recreate a
form? Now, my opening gives me an error
message "Switchboard form not found".

Thank you!

Hi:

Try creating a Switchboard in another Access database and just importing the
Switchboard form into this database.

Naresh's solution ought to solve your immediate problem with the
switchboard form. But I'm a little concerned about this message you got
"for Microsoft to upgrade my MS Messenger". Call me a worry-wart, but
there have been a lot of viruses lately posing as messages from
Microsoft and telling you to apply some patch to your system -- the
patch being the virus itself. The fact that you installed this upgrade
and immediately began having problems raises a red flag for me. Would
you care to describe this message in more detail, and what you did? If
it was an e-mail message that contained the upgrade as an executable
attachment, I can guarantee you that it wasn't from Microsoft.
