Hello.

I just installed a Linksys wireless network at home on two Windows XP
machines, so I can share my internet connection with my daughter.

I am very computer literate but I am network illiterate and I need some
help.

I hooked up the wireless router with no problem and we "are" sharing the
internet with no problems. The only issues I have with this wireless
network is making sure I am secure, if someone knows of a good site where it
will step me through the steps in a simple manner on how to make it secure I
would love it. But what I need to do and don't know how to do is share my
printer with the other machine. Like I said, we are sharing our internet no
problems at all, I just don't know what to do to share the printer with her
so she can print to it. I wouldn't mind being able to share one folder on
each machine, to transfer files, but again, I'm worried about security and I
haven't set this up because I don't know how to do it "securely". Sure, I
could run the install new printer wizard and add a network printer but I
don't want to do it until I can do it Securely"

So, if someone could explain to me how to do it or better, point me to a
good tutorial someone with easy to follow steps I would appreciate it very
much.

Thanks a bunch!

Jim
