Hi all
Received following error msge, "Service Error in '/library/Errorpages
Application, and lost my xp newsgroups connection. (all else working okay).
After using system restore I got XP newsgroup connection back again but not
immediately. Would appreciate any help on a fix in case it should happen
again because I would not be able to access the xp newsgroup in the meantime.
Many thanks in advance. OS winxp pro sp2.

And how are you accessing the newsgroups? When did this message appear?
Some details would be nice.

Thanks for your response
Accessed via favorites. It appeared all of a sudden, "titled Runtime Error"
with
description and details to create a <custonErrors> tag within a "web.config"
configuration etcetera which, to be perfectly honest, I cannot in any way
figure out what it means, (being sort of a newbie). I hope this helps. Thanks
again

So you are using the web interface, not a newsreader? Then I would
recommend you stop using the web interface. It's awful in many ways. Use a
newsreader. XP comes with one, Outlook Express. Here is a link to an
article on how to setup OE for newsgroups.
