Help in retrieving lost emails

Is there away to retrieve emails & calendar after your computer does a
semi-crash. I lost most of my programs but have managed to retrieve most
files, photos, etc. I am now starting to work on my email, any suggestions
would be appreciated. Also if all is lost than "Oh Well! Live & Learn!"
