I need some help. Whenever I add to my favorites on the second time I
get
IEexp has encountered a problem and needs to close. If I clear Temp Int
Files and
Offline content I do not get the close. If I only clear Temp Int files
the problem still occurs.
After it closes and I reopen it I will get the problem every time I add
to my favorites
until I clear the Temp and offline content.

Some of the data is: AppName: Iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180
Mod Name: Wininet.dll Mod Ver: 6.0.2900.2668 Offset: 0078bac

I am running the latest version of Internet Explorer with all updates
current.
I am also running XP home sp2 with all updates.
I have run various spyware programs but to no avail. When the problem
does occur the new address does get added to the favorites list and then
the close message. I have updated wininet. If I create a new account
and log in to it the problem doesn't occur. Any suggestions.

Very frustrated

Hi,
Errors in wininet.dll often indicate corruption in the Temporary Internet
Files folder.

Login as another user with administrator privileges, or from the machine's
default administrator account (safe mode) and delete the affected TIF folder
from Windows Explorer. A new folder will be created on restart.

You would not be able to delete this folder when logged in as yourself- it's
"In use." You should be able to delete it from the Administrator account.

Hope this helps,
Don

Well I first deleted the Temp file and that did not fix the problem.
Next I deleted the delete the TIF folder and it seems to have fixed the
problem. Thanks a million you don't know how much that problem
has been bugging me.
