*HELP* I cant access hotmail or MSN

B

Ben

I'm sorry for making this post kind of big, but thanks to
those who care to read on - For the past few weeks when
I've tried to log onto my MSN account - which is a
hotmail account - it simply says enter the password again
or the sign in name doesn't exist. So I go back and make
sure that both of them are ok and correct, and when I try
to sign in again it will say there could be a problem
with your internet or whatever the message is. If that's
not bad enough, I try to log on to my account on the
hotmail website, so I enter my email address and my
password, and it simply says 'Page cannot be displayed'.
If I try to make a new account it will say the same. I've
tried changing security levels, looked at the settings
for my firewalls, I've looked through help topics on both
messenger and the microsost support website (which didn't
help at all) and nothing works. I even changed my ISP and
it still won't work. If anyone can help, pleeeeeaaaaaaase
do so. Thanks.

Greetings Ben,

Here are some suggestions you might want to check/try:

1. The date on your computer needs to be set properly -- double click the clock verify that
the time and date are set.
2. Clear your IE cache and cookies -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then
Internet Options, then click the Delete Files button, and when that's complete click the
Delete Cookies button.
3. Check your IE Security settings -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then
Internet Options, then Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section, and verify that "Check
for server certificate revocation" is unchecked. Also verify that 'Use SSL 2.0' and Use SSL
3.0' is checked, then click OK.
4. Click Start, then Run, and enter the following:
regsvr32 softpub.dll
then click OK

Then try again.
