HELP, I AM LOSING IT!!!!

HEATHER PECK

I have all of my music stored in a file under documents
and settings. I can view all of my files in one folder.
Today when I opened the folder all of my music was in
individual folders for each artist. I don't know how or
why. I have done nothing to my settings but this is quit
annoying because when I open a folder it goes to another
folder which list the album and then I have to open that
folder just to see the track. I want it back the other
way. How can I change this back?

Also, when I double click on a folder it goes into search
companion, this too is very annoying. What other way is
there to change this besides messing with my register????

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

You must have downloaded some music player, such as iTunes,
MusicMatch or something and let the installation take
control of your music files. The program then reorganized
your files to its format.

Depending on the software that you use to listen to your music files, all you
need to do is go into that software's "Preferences" section and deselect the
supremely excellent feature to rearrange files according to Artist.

Do you have a suitable restore point you can use?
