Lee

My three computers are connected to D-Link DI-624 Router. Two of them
are desktop (Windows XP Pro) and are connected by wire. Another is a
laptop (Windows XP Home) and connected through D-link wireless cardbus
adapter DWL-G650. All of them can go to Internet successfully but I
have problem with the home network. The laptop cannot accessible my
workgroup that named MSHOME. It is always shown an error message
"Mshome is not accessible..." . However, the two desktops and can see
each other. They can also see the laptop in the same workgroup but are
unable to access the laptop. It is shown an error message "....The
network path was not found." when I click the Laptop link under My
Network Places. I have re-set up the network many times but it does
not work. By the way, I didn't set any Internet Connection Firewall in
my Network Connection. Any reply for the problem solving will be
appreciated!

I have the same kind of setup with my wireless router with a different
version of the D-Link. I think the permissions on your computer are
probably causing the problem. Do you have the same logon for each computer?
I don't know how to change this, but I had to make sure that I signed on
with the right username and password the first time I accessed the computer,
otherwise it would always deny me access. And I'd just check the
permissions on the folders that you're sharing as well.
Just out of curiosity, have you noticed any internet speed differences
between your wireless laptop and your wired PCs? I have 2 wireless
computers, and my main wired PC is much slower on the internet now than it
was before the router and slower than the 2 wireless ones. Have you
encountered a similar phenomenon?
