Help- have put in more RAM and now can't play CIV

I have just replaced the 512 RAM with 1GB. PC works fine but I can't run CIV
IV. Message says check direct x and graphics settings but I don't know where
to start. Anybody help a very inexperienced user?

Hi Andyknownothing,

If you aren't havoing problems with any of the other games on
your PC, such as the Pinball game which is included with XP,
then most likely you'll just need to reinstall your CIV IV game.
