Help function in Word doesn't work

"help" function will not come up in WORD. Table of contents will come up, but
the actual search will not perform and when table of contents clicked on,
nothing comes up
 
Which version of Word and OS are you using?
I noticed this problem sometime ago and it turned out to be Google Desktop
Search facility on the work build I have here (no problem at home though).
I am using 2003 on XP. Once Google Desktop was removed and Word retsarted,
all was well.
