We are a company that has an electronic bulletin board. There is a
computer with a monitor in each break room. Each is running Power
point. The receptionist has on her computer power point and controls
each computer int he breakroom through the network.

The problem is, if one of the breakroom computers locks up or the power
goes off she has to leave her desk and walk to each break room to
reboot the computer. (There are only two breakrooms).

One is probably 700 feet or so from the receptionist.

Is there a system where we could maybe give the receptionist a
dedicated computer or laptop and run wires to just a monitor directly
in each breakroom from her computer? Is there somethign else out there
not too expensive that would work.

I am not a total computer geek but understand the basics.

I appreciate any advice!

If the computer locks up, you'll have to physically restart the pc.
I'm assuming she controls the breakroom PCs through remote desktops.
Have you considered purchasing small UPS's for the computers? If the power
is down for only a couple of minutes, a UPS will at least keep the machine
on during the outage.

I am not sure I understand your proposed solution,
