Help finding file

I have a file that is in add/remove programs with content that is not being
recognized? What can I do to make it accesible? I have a 80G HD with XP Home.
Thanks so much!
 
Actually, Programs are listed in Add/Remove Programs. And IF someone
deleted the program files from the hard drive then you would have the
listing but no program. How to get it back? You get out the CD and
reinstall it.
