Help finding dll and registry files

Is there a way of finding dll and registry files in the same manner as the
'Search' function works in XP?

To find ANY file; DLL or EXE or Whatever, the search function works the same
way. You just type *.dll in the Find box and ALL the DLLs on your computer
will appear.
