HELP! Exporting Contacts as a Group/VCard

I have two tasks which needs to be done. 1) create a
group with over 2000 names 2) make them vcards. Is it
possible to group that many names into a group without
having to add each name in the group list? Is it then
possible to create a one vcard for this whole group and if
so, how? The reason being is I need to send this database
to someone who has Entourage and I was told he can only
get the information if it is grouped and then sent as a
vcard. If someone knows an easier way, please let me know.

The VCard standard supports multiple VCard records within the same .vcf
file. Unfortunately, Outlook doesn't interpret the multiple records (only
shows the first one-- or at least it did last time I checked), so Outlook
won't be much help to you there. If you could do a mass VCard export, you
could conceivably concatonate all the files into one, though.

Skip the group; you don't need it. There are a couple of tools that can do
bulk export of contact and calendar data as vCard and iCal files. See

Thank you Sue Mosher for the info on downloading a utility to mas
export VCards. I was directed to http://outpod.stoer.de/ where
downloaded outpod version 4. It worked like a charm!

This is the second time over the last three years that just by chance
have found VERY HELPFUL information you have posted. Both problem
were "head-scratchers" for me, and I was so thankful to find you
answers! People like you are what make the internet a wonderful place
