Help - Excel 2007 web query feature

I'm trying to import a stock portfolio listing using a web query from MSN
web site. Not getting the proper data.

Excel procedure follows:
click on data tab, get external data from web
new web query box pops up
put in web address (moneycenteral.msn.com/home.asp)
my stock portfolio listing appears with yellow arrow next to it
click on arrow, turns to a green check mark
click on import

What happens is that Excel is not importing the stock listings but some
other data from the msn web site.

I also tried a similar procedure using the Fidelity web site - same problem,
Excel does not import what it's suppose to, I get some other data.

A follow up comment:

The web query feature does work using the examples at this web site - why
doesn't it work at other sites?

Hi,

I haven't checked to see how the site you mention works, but Micrsoft has a
free download called MSNStockQuote, why don't you use that?

How to use it and where to down load it are all discussed here:

It also tells you the advantage of using it rather than a Web query.

You may prefer using Yahoo. Go here and sign up and get a couple of files of
mine, or others. If your addy is good I am sending direct to you.

Hi Shane,

Yes, I would like to use the MSNStockQuote but I'm unable to download the
add-in. It appears that the person who sold me this computer must have
installed a parroted copy of Office 2007 because I get an invalid product
code warning when attempting to DL the add-in. He did give me a disk with a
product code on it but apparently it's fake!!
