**Help** Double Clicking Folders Starts Search--Not Open!

Hello--

Out of the blue, the folders on my desktop are set to "search" when I double
click them. When I right-click, I can see that "search" is first, and "open"
is second.

How can I change this back so when I double click, my folders open? It's
driving me crazy!

Many thanks,

sd

that's funny....

I came here to post this exact same problem... I don't know what to do to
solve it... everytime I double click a folder, it opens the search dialog
box...

does anyone knows if this can be changed in registry or something?

thanks

What are the odds???

I too have the same problem I posted after you with the File Folder
subject...

Does your address bar work on the bottom task bar???

Mine doesn't...

I notice the word search in bold letters with the word open all the way on
the bottom when I right click also...

I tried the run command and it gave me an error cant locate file....

Then I tried the regedit and it didn't solve the problem...
