Try pressing cntrl + alt + (your down/up arrow)

Right-click the desktop, choose properties. In the Settings tab, click
advanced. Now look for an option that will invert or rotate your display
(this option depends on your video card, so I can't direct you straight to
it - on my NVIDIA card, it's called NVrotate.)

Control Panel - Settings, click Advanced. Many adapter drivers now have
a setting to rotate the display 90 degrees at a time (for portrait
oriented monitors) - look for a page for that or as subpage in Adapter

I just have to ask, did someone send you an email and after you opened it, your display was upside down? There exists this joke email and i have seen it many times. When you open it , it will turn everything upside down but i forgot how to reset it. Not saying this is it, but it happens alot.

Yes, back in 1999 someone sent me an e-mail and as I opened it,
it displayed the screen upside down. But as I touched any key, the
screen came to normal view. That was when we were running
Windows 98. I do not remember exactly what did fix it, but
someone at the Federal Aviation Help Group did something to
cleanup the registry.

Have you tried a system restore? It's a very simple step to take and can save alot of grief.
