Hi

I have rescued my old 30Gb desktop hard disk drive and attached it to my
laptop using a firewire based adaptor. It works very well, but I wish to
free up some space on it.

The drive in question is split into a C:, D: and E: partitions that I wish
to preserve, along with 3 Linux partitions that I would like to remove and
restore to FAT32 (or something).

So...I go to Disk Manager, which lists all the partitions, including the
three Linux partitions, marked Healthy (Unknown Partition): 2.69Gb, 243Mband
1.74Gb

Now what? Can I right click and delete? Will I get the space back? What
will happen!!!??

Thanks in advance,

Stu

Hi Stu,

Right-click and delete. Once removed, you can create new partitions in the
free space. You cannot expand the existing ones to encompass the free space
without getting additional partitioning software.

Thanks - I gave it a go and it worked like a dream.
