Help! Corrupt or slow

I have a multi user database that corrupts several times
a day but runs fast if in one mdb file, and runs
unbearably slow when split to front and back end mdbs.
Any suggestions would be so very appreciated.

The database should be split and each user should have his own copy of the
front-end database. That will probably take care of the corruption problem.
