Hi,

Is there freeware apps, similar like 'DIR' in MSDOS-Console which:
a. accept multiple file(s), such as: DIR *.com *.exe *.dll /s /p
b. support LFN (Long File Name) under FAT32-Win98 or NTFS (2K/XP)

I have tried "MDIR.COM v1.05b (c) Charles Dye", unfortunatelly it can not
accept multiple file.

Regards,

Regards,

4DOS is now freeware and will DIR *.com *.exe *.dll /s /p from the 4DOS-
console, as well as show longfile names. I use WinME, but am fairly
certain 4DOS worked the same way when I was running 98 ....... hope this
helps.

4DOS only shows LFNs under 9x-based OSes, not under NT-based OSes.

Doc, Thank for pointing 4DOS utility.
Although I still use WIN98SE at home, I need bring this util along with USB
Flash or Floppy Disk for use in public terminal, which sometime use Win9x
and sometime W2K/XP.

OPTION //WIN95LFN=YES should enable LFN support in Windows 2000 and
XP. 4NT (not freeware) would be the preferred shell for those OSes,
though.
