PAJO

I have a very large .csv file (78oMBs) sent to me. I cant open more than
65,000 lines (approx 300-400K). I need to be able to access ALL the
data. How do I open it in increments if I can oly open 65000 lines.
Please help. Paul:confused:

Can the originator of the file "Split it for you?"
Can you import into ACCESS and then Copy or Export out to EXCEL?
Can you OPEN in Word and then Split the file your self?
Being a CSV file, which has no formating - depending on your system it
should OPEN in Word (might take a few minutes).
You might search the INTERNET for "FILE SPLITTERS"
Try the following http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/#win32 for a "FREE
Splitter"

I have tried the splitter, it does break up the file, but doesnt allow
individual opening of each file. Anymore help would be appreciated. I
did try Word (no go) and Access (no go)...Paul

Open the .csv file in a text editor (notepad?) and split it into pieces.

Then open each piece in excel separately.
