help: Can't install Beta 3 Windows Mobile Device Center

When I try to run installation from Microsoft Download area, on RC1, I get
the following error:

"A network error occured while attempting to read from the file:
c:\users\<name>\desktop\drvupdate-x86.msi"

Tried running under administrator account.

Please help!!! :-)

I got the same error. The only difference is I was attempting to run it from
the downloads folder.

It's a brand new install of Vista RC2.

Just got it to work.

I deleted the download I had and redownloaded the file. It ran successfully
once I ran the newer file. It didn't appear to do anything though, which
confused me for some time. I connected my phone using the USB cable and the
device center ran and then appeared in the start menu and under Hardware and
Sound in the control panel.
