Help: Can't delete folder!

M

Macke

I've got a strange problem in WinXP pro: There is a folder which I
can't delete! I guess it is because the name of the folder, which
somehow was created with an ending space - "My folder ".

When I try to delete it in explorer, it says that it can't read from
the disk, and when I try to delete it from the command prompt, it
can't find the folder.

Is there any way to remove badly named folders? Please help!

Have you tried to rename the file and remove the extra space? Have you tried
a boot into safe mode to make sure a windows process doesn't have a lock on
the file?

Do you have any tips on such programs? I tried with East-Tec Eraser
2004, but didn't erase the folder..
